Old Year’s Eve Celebration

Venue: Thornhill Hall 26007 – 98th Avenue Maple Ridge, BC, V2W 1T3

Come and visit with us on Old Year’s Eve. We are having a family evening. Children are welcome. CD’s and entertainment will be provided. Costs include dance and an appetizing plate of Curry and Rice.

Adults - $12.50

Children under 12 - $5

Children under 4 is FREE

Unfortunately we cannot allow outside alcohol. There will be a BC Alcohol License (that means that only Alcohol is regulated by the “Liquor Control & licensing Act)

Wine must be pre-ordered and purchased. There will NOT be a cash bar. See the below Wine list. Please order your wine with your ticket. There are limited tickets so please mail a cheque in advance for the total including the wine totals and tickets per person required.

Mail order for wine and cheques to: Beyers van Rensburg 23711 – 105 Ave, Maple Ridge, BC V2W 1E1. As soon as the payment is received a receipt number will be provided.

Feel free to invite other fellow ex-pat South Africans to join us for this enjoyable time. The reason for this event is to meet and get to know more people and to enjoy a pleasant evening with old and new friends. Bring your own cold drinks. If you have a special music request or CD, please bring it along.

Kom kuier lekker saam Oujaarsaand. Ons hou n gesinsaand. Kinders welkom. Cd’s en vermaak sal verskaf word. Koste sluit dans en n lekker bord Kerrie en Rys in.

Volwassenes $12.50

Kinders onder 12 is $5

Kinders onder 4 is gratis

Ongelukkig word daar geen drank vanaf buite toegelaat nie. Daar gaan ‘n BC dranklisensie wees (dit beteken dat die drank gereguleer moet word deur die “Liquor Control & licensing Act) Wyn moet dus vooraf bestel word vir die geleentheid. Daar gaan NIE ‘n kontantkroeg wees nie. Sien die dranklys na die opskrif. Bestel asb jou wyn saam met jou kaartjie en Sluit Asb die drank geld by die finale bedrag in. Betaal vooraf per tjek om jou kaartjie te bevestig. Daar is n beperkte aantal kaartjies beskikbaar.

Sodra die betaling ontvang is sal ‘n bevestigingsnommer uitgereik word.

Voel vry om mede-Suid-Afrikaners saam te nooi na hierdie geleentheid. Die doel van hierdie funksie is om meer mense beter te leer ken en lekker saam te kuier. Bring jou eie koeldrank. As jy musiek versoeke het: bring dit asb saam.

Had an e-mail from Canadian Consulate yesterday re. our application, so maybe...just maybe... :D

I try to please everyone with something for all. Most the events that are happening are hosted by other people, but since I advertise them in my newsletter, I felt that I should advertise them here too.

ANY event that has a South African slant to it, should be advertised, even if it is something I may not enjoy myself. I will not avoid placing an advert, just because I am opposed to something. That is not what a good Hostess is about. The only thing I won't and can't do is attend every event. Especially the ones I think I won't like. But like everyone else that is my business.

So if ANYONE has an event or an annoucement to make - let me know.
