HI New Ventures,

Congratulations and we are currently in the same boat ;) We have not been requested to do medicals as yet, but am pretty much still at the beginning stages of the process so will hopefully not cause any delays in our processing time.

We have sent through and email to PTA PRETIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca and pretoria-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca' and a message on the 'case specific' website - www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions.asp,

Congrats to you too! Thanks for the info. I will let them know. We received our medical request 7 days after the status change on ECAS, so we will now ask for extension of the medical deadline.

Hi New Venture,

Please keep me posted, as I have been informed by the lovely people on the forum that nothing can proceed until the babe has arrived - I would love to hear what the CIC PTA has to say about the matter - as we have sent emails etc, with no reply, but we are still at the beginning stages and they haven't started processing our application yet.

Hi Sasha

I received an email from CHC in Pretoria on Friday stating that we should wait untill birth and then soon afterwards submit the documents for the little one. So, in short: Everything is now on hold untill end Feb/Mar 2015.

It makes for an interesting journey to say the least. We had the same surprise package and it delayed us a little but it was so worth the extra time."All things for a reason" they say.

Help....help....help...

I am September 2014 applicant.

I received the following message from Pretoria VO in response to my CSE.

''Please be advised that your application has been reviewed by an officer and is currently in the queue for correspondence and medical examination instructions to be sent to you.'' I received this email on the 14th of May 2015 and nothing came out until now.

How long should I wait to get Medical Request???

Please share your advice.

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum but not new to the whole immigrating idea and terms.

We visited our family in Winiipeg in 2012 December and decided to relocate. We submitted our MPNP (Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program) application April 2014.

Today our status is only still "Pending" and we have not even submitted our application to CIC for permanent residence.

With what stream are all of you applying and whats the requiremnts? Seems like some people on this forum are getting to Canada in under one year...have I missed something somewhere along the line?
