Vrek, hierdie is darem 'n mooie land. Staan so vanaand in ons tuin - kannie glo dis Herfs en die weer is behoorlik soel - Lake Ontario se meer se reuk so vlak onder my neus, die maan vol en 'n Raccoon besluit ook sommer om te kom groet! Wat 'n wonderlike plek - sal sommer weer hierheen verhuis, soos my man telkemale al gese het! Dis middernag in Ontario - pampoentyd - Lekker slaap mense! x.x.x.x

Pierre 6 Posted October 16, 2004 I think #16 would be Lac Minnewanka. Un compromis avec la natur.
ROOIBOK 3 Posted October 23, 2004 CANADA LAKE # 16 Lyk my niemand weet nie en daarom voeg ek ietsie ekstra by!Should you ever travel east on Highway 11 from the Sakatchewan Crossing towards Red Deer you'll find the:Bighorn Dam / Abraham Lake, Alberta - Behind the 91-metre-high hydroelectric Bighorn Dam, downstream of Saskatchewan River Crossing in the eastern foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the North Saskatchewan bulges into Abraham Lake, Alberta's largest man-made reservoir. Electricity generated by the massive, earth-filled Bighorn Dam is used all the way to Edmonton. Located on the North Saskatchewan River just south-west of the Bighorn Indian Reservation and built in 1972, the dam waters stretch 32 km back along the Saskatchewan River Valley with a width of more that 3 km. This is not a recreation lake as it is very turbulent and windy but offers a spectacular view of the Kiska Lookout Tower. This is also where the infamous Sasquatch was sited in 1973.The North Saskatchewan River Basin covers about 80,000 km2 of the province. The basin begins in the icefields of Banff and Jasper National Parks and generally flows in an eastward direction to the Alberta-Saskatchewan border. The Brazeau, Nordegg, Ram, Clearwater, Sturgeon and Vermilion rivers flow into the North Saskatchewan River within Alberta. The Battle River also forms part of the North Saskatchewan Basin and joins with the North Saskatchewan River in Saskatchewan. There are two large dams located in the basin. The Big Horn Dam on the North Saskatchewan River creates Lake Abraham. The Brazeau Reservoir is created by the Brazeau Dam, located on the Brazeau River. Major centres within the basin include Drayton Valley, Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan and the Saddle Lake Indian Reserve. The mean annual discharge from the basin in Alberta into Saskatchewan is over seven billion m3.

Cathy 25 Posted November 15, 2005 Based on a previous posting I would have to say it is Lake Windemere. But that's based on detective work not local knowledge!
