I recently landed and completed my landing precedures (COPR) - not a soft landing as I indend to settle. However, I was not asked by the officer for the completed form (although I had to complete the customs declaration card). I had no accompanying goods (only my luggage) and I've checked and I wouldn't have been liable for any duties in any case. Should I go to a CBSA inland office and submit the form or is it nothing to be worried about since I'm not planning on bringing anything else from SA. I don't want this to be an issue down the line for me or result in any complications.

If you’re not bringing anything else in at all, then I think it should be okay. Aside from Customs, I’ve never been asked for this paperwork ever after.
