Key qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate communication/PR roles
  • Demonstrated success with corporate storytelling and business media in Canada and the United States, including an understanding of corporate communications and its link to business strategy
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills that make an impact, including employee communications, digital content, speeches and presentations, news stories, media pitches and releases
  • Proven results-oriented media relations experience as well as experience in multi-location employee communications strategies is essential.
  • Experience with issues management, crisis communications and reputation management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in Investor Relations is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with business leaders, marketing, creative and digital teams as well as control functions (legal etc.)
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Communications, Public Relations or another related field is required.
