Nelline 2,265 Posted September 2, 2014 Jakes flew his new Hobby Kind Idol (kit bought for $16 - built from scratch, electronics and covering obviously added on extra) today near the Ottawa rover for the first time.Check out the bug repellant - really needed today (loads of gnats, see the video footage to follow!) and this really works! ENGinCT 147 Posted August 10, 2015 Hi Nelline! :-)I'm into that too, but here in the GVR all the flying clubs seem like they're slowly being squeezed out by development. I can't find one active glider-guider club!:-(
Guest Posted August 10, 2015 (edited) My old home town in SA, Port Elizabeth. Have a look here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzjzXq1pBH0 . PSS Bomber glider no motors. Made of EPS, covered with newspaper and thinned down PVA glue and spray painted to give that camouflage look. Great hobby, just wish I had more time to devote to it.Apology for the movie clip quality. Edited August 10, 2015 by Lawrence
shaun 36 Posted November 13, 2015 I would fly there for hours on end (Maitlands). Sometimes we would go right to the top of the hill (private property) with the paragliders and launch from up there.Got into RC sailboat racing here in Canada, but have not done much since I bought my 'big' boat.
