Please, tell me if all these plants and flowers were planted. They are so beautiful. How long is it from Alberta to BC?

Wonderful Ingrid!! I love the colour of the river.

The colour of the river as well as the lakes, for example the Lake Louise images; is because of the glacier water.

I absolutely love it as it is never the same. The shades of aqua change minute by minute as the lighting/cloud formations change.

I was in awe so many times during this trip - just the combination of the water colours, the fall trees plus the snowcapped mountains....too beautiful!

Mostly natural flora. Coming over the Rockies, the forests are beautiful.

If you look at another gallery I have up with "Portraits of the Albertan landscape,' you will see the area around Calgary itself is very different.

More agricultural. Parts remind me a lot of the Free State in SA.

The closer you get to the Rockies, the more trees there are.

From where I live in Langley, BC to Calgary, AB... took us about 12 hrs. driving, Three drivers. Could have done it in less but there was quite a bit of construction going up in June.

At the one spot in Golden, BC we waited over 30 mins before we could drive on.

Coming back I drove by myself so took two days. Had lots of photo stops though.
