PEI word maar net so koud soos hier by ons...ons was ook verbaas toe ons hulle die eerste keer gesien het. Ons het ook al 'n paar hier in Nova Scotia gesien.

Beautiful photos Liz. I love guinea fowl! They roam the whole of Sedgefield in the Garden Route and were welcome visitors to our property. I wonder whether they will survive on Vancouver Island.

We have Californian quails here in Nanaimo and they love to visit the bird feeders, grazing on the seeds on the ground that the other birds drop.

Cathy, if the guinea fowl can survive here, I am sure they'll survive on Vancouver Island too. :) These were at one of the mills we visited and we were told they like having them as they eat the earwigs (and other goggas, I would think) and they don't scratch up your garden like chickens do....

Unfortunately, I don't have too many photos...it was just a quick visit.
