I just wanted to share a couple of my pics, feel free to post yours

First pic is a panoramic pic I took in Oribi Gorge in May of this year. Really surprised how well I managed to get it to come out seeing I shot a series of 9 pics free hand (i.e without the benefit of a tripod.

Second pic I shot in the valley looking up

Third pic is also a panoramic pic, stitched together from 8 individual pics (this time with a tripod  ) taken at the riverside park in Holland, Michigan

I will post more whenver I feel inspired (presuming of course anyone likes them)

I'm not a good photographer, but here goes. The first two photos were taken at the Colliery Dam here in Nanaimo. It's a lovely hiking trail slap-bang in the middle of town.

We used to live in Prince Albert and usually traveled through Meirings Poort to do shopping in Oudtshoorn. Friends send us this photo of Meiringspoort.

This is out at Yellowpoint, south of Nanaimo. We stayed at a self service resort right on the beach, in 2005 (I think I may've posted this pic before). Absolutely beautiful area.

The lighthouse at Peggy's Cove near Halifax in Nova Scotia. This picture took a lot of patience because there were hundreds of people there that day, and only careful positioning and timing afforded me this view!

Harbour scene on the northen coast of Newfoundland. I cannot remember the name of the town, but this is a common scene along the shores of Newfoundland.

The Mackinac Bridge (which connects the lower and upper peninsulas of Michigan) at 5 miles in length, is the 3rd largest suspension bridge in the world. At five miles in length, it is also the third-longest suspension bridge in the world. We stayed overnight at Mackinaw City, and was treated to this unique view of the bridge!

Point Pelee, a 10-kilometre sandspit with its southern point equal in latitude to the northern border of California, contains one of Canada's smallest but most unusual national parks. A thin triangle jutting into Lake Erie at the southernmost point of Canada, the 20 square kilometre landscape boasts a unique blend of vegetation in the marshes, jungle-like Carolinian forest, Savannah grasslands and unpredictable beachfront, supporting a complexity of wildlife. For this picture I was facing north, with Lake Erie at my back; that clump of trees is literally on the southern most tip of Canada!
