Please join us at our Dinner Dance Fundraiser on Saturday April 25th 2009 at the All Saints Parish Hall.

The festivities begin at 6:00 PM with the opening of the cash bar. Mingle with friends you haven’t seen in ages and bid on our exciting silent auction items.

Dinner featuring authentic South African cuisine will be provided by friends like you. Your dish will become part of the buffet style dinner we will enjoy. Bring your appetite!

Let’s introduce our Canadian friends to a unique experience afforded by our culture. To accomplish this, we ask you to invite your Canadian pals to join you at a table that seats eight. If they haven’t already done so, get them to taste cabbage bredie or bobotie at its finest.

Our live entertainers for the evening will be the talented Rachel Stephens & Mariah Dantu!

Our DJ Craig Robinson will keep you on the dance floor all night long!!

Dress is party festive!! What does this mean? Whatever you want it to mean.

Net proceeds of the evening will be donated to Rena Le Lona. This nonprofit organization located in Soweto has been thoroughly investigated and exists to comfort children orphaned as a result of AIDS. Please visit their web site to read more. Rena le Lona

For those who attended the inaugural event hosted by CANADIAN FRIENDS OF SOUTH AFRICA (CFOSA) thank you for your support!! We've had so many compliments from so many of our guests that we know it was a success. Thank you to all for contributing time, energy, food, goods & services and support to our event. We had 180 folks for dinner who stayed to dance the night away. Thank you to our VIP guests: Mayor Richard Stewart of Coquitlam, Bishop Robert Redline of the diocese of Richmond and Mr. Tom Seeberger, co-founder of Rena Le Lona, the center in Soweto for youngsters orphaned because of AIDS.

A special thank you to all of our out of town guests! We're honored that you made the trip just to come to the event.

We've started the planning for our next event so please SAVE THE DATE, Friday October 30th for our Motown Halloween Party.

Visit our web site at www.canadianfosa.org for more details.

Kindest Regards,

Joy Stephens
