So we might need to do a soft landing in the new year if our application is processed on time, as our medicals is expiring not long after. We can only hope that this is the case, but what will happen will happen. My question is, if we do a soft landing in Jan/ Feb, they will then proceed with issuing PR cards to "our address" in Canada, are these PR cards linked to the Passport number you entered the country on or are they only linked to your biometrics? Because I would then on our return to SA like to apply for new passports which will be valid for a longer period and hopefully avoid to ever have to renew them again in SA. So when re-entering Canada it will be on new passports, but either with our PR cards or those permanent resident travel documents that you can apply for. Has anyone else done something like this or have any input? Thanks
Hey Saffas It's been a while since I posted to this forum. At the moment I'm trying to renew my PR card. I know it's expired (around 400 days or so). Does anyone know how to renew it while you're in Canada? Can it be done online or through the mail? What is the cost? I tried reading up through the govt website today and I've downloaded the PDFs. I'm just wondering if there's a simple way of doing it? Any help will be appreciated, Jonathan
JanR posted a topic in LSD Trips & ArrivalsHi all, We landed to activate our PR in February, and are back in SA now. I received an email today saying our photos for the PR cards aren't compliant and we need to send new ones within 30 days. I understand my photo possibly wasn't compliant, but my husband's was definitely within the measurements they gave us, so I'm not really sure how to guarantee the next set we send will be right either. Might just send a few sets. For people who've successfully received their PR cards - where did you get your photos taken? Or how did you make sure they were compliant? Thanks.
