  1. So, we received ITA recently and are very excited. We're going for medicals in ten days and should be ready to submit our application before the end of April. husband's brother and other friends of ours are setting off for Australia soon - they are always telling us how their friends in Australia say it is so easy for accountants to find work in Australia. On SAcanada and elsewhere I keep reading that Canada has too many accountants and all about how hard it is to find work in Canada. This is really a concern for us - because we do need to eat after all. My husband is a CA(SA) with 11 years work experience. He's worked for one of the big four accounting firms as well as one of the big four banks in SA. I am a freelance copy-editor and proofreader with an MA in English. If all goes well with our application, are we going to land in Canada and struggle to find work and start wondering why we didn't just opt for Australia instead? Also, although we are willing to go anywhere to find work, we'd really like to end up in the Maritimes - hoping for a slower pace of life than we had here in Gauteng. Is that a possibility or merely wishful thinking? Any advice?
