So, a few months ago my husband and I were chatting about our lives and where we saw them going, etc. At the time, our daughter was just a few months old, and I wonder if we weren't both suffering from some sort of mid-life crisis induced by recently becoming parents for the first time! Anyhow...we decided that we are in a rut, and suddenly we only have a few years in which we can do some adventuring before we're tied into the endless routine of schooling and so on.
What started off as idle chatter rapidly turned to excitement and a whole lot of nervous energy as we realised that we were both on the same page! As I sit here writing this, my husband is putting the final touches to his Canadian resume! It looks like we're going ahead with this crazy plan!
We've done some intensive research on the internet in the last couple of weeks, and have decided that Calgary looks like the place for us. My husband is in IT, so he will be LMO exempt. We're going to try and do the WP route, but if he's not successful in getting a job offer in the next few weeks, then we will go for the PR route instead, in my name since I am a CA, and would be on the list of 38.
This looks like a great site for meeting people and getting loads of support when embarking on such a humungous adventure!
