Hi there,

I want to buy some air tickets for family members to visit during the course of this year, does anyone have a suggestion on the best priced way to go.

Thanks
Nirak
So far, Delta has worked out the cheapest every single time, BUT you need to have a US visa as all their flights to Canada has at least on stopover in the US. I can also highly recommend Sure Travel in South Africa (the family members can go see them, you can call them or just send an email and you can pay them with bank transfer/credit card) - they time and again were able to get me better prices on flights via Europe than I was able to get myself.

Hi,

Try Travelstart in SA. They are relaible and very cheap. Try and fly on a Sunday night (cheaper flights) and out of season.

Simply go to www.nwa.com. I can confirm that they are the very cheapest at the moment. I am flying back to South Africa to visit my mother who is ill this coming Tuesday January 6th.

And yes, the only limitation can be United States visas.

I would suggest that one just make sure that the same flights are indeed cheaper with NWA than Delta. NWA now belongs to Delta and in fact shares a lot of flights. I have, however, found that on some flights NWA were more than $100 more expensive than Delta (even though it is exactly the same flight). I think, in the end, one just has to research it well.

Again, shop around. Travelstart came in $200 more than Delta on my husband's recent trip. And Sunday night's aren't always the cheapest - it is all about demand. When I flew over, Wednesday was the cheapest day of the week...

If you have time, visit all the different airlines' websites. Those that make use of code-sharing doesn't always have all the locations available (e.g. very few airlines have Winnipeg on their list) and for those it is a good idea of making use of a Travel Agent or something like Travelstart. But I will start of with Delta and NWA.
