Hi all,   Apologies in advance as this is a bit long winded  Please bear with me if possible as I'd really appreciate some direction from anyone with knowledge or experience in the matter.   I've been a computer programmer since 2006. My work experience covers 3 companies, one of them I owned myself. So technically, or at least I like to think, I have been working under NOC 2174 for the past 14 years.   My current employment has been since 2011 November, previous to that I worked for myself (owned a CC). The business itself was an e-commerce website but I developed and maintained the site myself which was more than 50% of the actual work I did. I would like to claim the time I worked as software developer, albeit for a company I owned, as NOC 2174.   With the above in mind I have concerns relating to following areas of our immigration process: SINP EOI I am currently wanting to put forward my SINP EOI, which awards points depending how many of the last 10 years you have worked under the NOC you are wanting to apply under. Has anyone managed to prove work experience as a business owner under a role they fulfilled under a different NOC (like 2174 or other professional services one may be able to render when running their own business?) IRCC Express Entry ITA application thereafter Assuming we are awarded the SINP PNP points the Express Entry pool application asks whether you have "3 years or more" foreign work experience in a single NOC (assuming this is the NOC you are applying under. Given my current employment spans the last 8 years does this mean I can simply remove the other work experience in our EE application? In other words, are they only interested in your last 3 years of employment? Or if I do need to have my entire employment history and since CIC website says you may not self declare your work duties for when you are self-employed ("self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience") how would I prove my NOC 2174 duties for that period? Note: Because I ran an e-commerce website my customers won't be able to validate that I was a computer programmer since that role was only visible internally within the company (I worked on my own so don't have anyone who could validate it that way).   If you've stuck with me up to here, thanks, I know it's a bit of a convoluted story   My main concern is that I don't want to put anything on our SINP EOI or EE profile that I cannot prove and might cause my application to be rejected. My other concern is if I can't prove my work experience under the 2174 NOC for SINP I don't get full points for that area which might mean we wait substantially longer (or simply do not get chosen) for the SINP ITA.   Thanks, Mike

Doesn’t have to be done by WES but I do assume one needs some accredited authority to validate what you have studied to get the transfer credits. The Canadian university won’t do that step. One way or the other it’s going to be a long process unfortunately.

Have anyone been in another country when asked to do biometrics and medicals? Is this possible? Our application is at the PTA Visa office - might be in another country in due course

Thanks for the reply Jules. WES did verify my other degrees but not this one (in progress) and I would prefer not to go through the process again. Do you think that without the independent verification (i.e. WES) it would be a challenge to get the courses credited? And any other Canadian distance universities you would recommend? Thanks again.
