@AntoinetteGExactly as @MaryJane said you can apply with your RA etc where it is and you don't need to move it before you leave as long as you have enough cash to go with for a few months/days. If you are planning on financially emigrating before you leave you need to go SARS a month or two before you leave show them you are going, visa, contract etc and get a specific tax clearance certificate then apply to withdraw funds form your RA's, can usually be done online or with broker and they get the tax certificate and the rest is paperwork. You do need a blocked account for the funds to go into. If you do this after you leave it takes a bit more time as someone has to be your POA and do the running around for you, but it can and has ben done. (Or you come on holiday and do it then) But there is NO NEED to do this to move, most people just leave their funds where they are till they know they are never coming back or want their retirement money to grow elsewhere... PS you don't need your proof of funds to open EE profile only ECA and IELTS. Proof of funds is only required after you get ITA  and you have 90 days to get that sorted after ITA, so get in the pool ASAP

New one, never heard of anyone doing so, BIG ASSUMPTION -> just do it and submit as Case Specific Entry extra documentation asking them to extend your medicals expiry date...??

Also if you search the forum for “agent” you will literally get >100 hits. The question is asked several times a month, every month and every year. Many threads discuss the good, the bad and the ugly.

Good day All We received ITA in Nov 2019 and also did our Medicals in Nov 2019. So when we eventually receive our PPR, I expect the VISA to be valid until Nov 2020 (1 year after medicals). But for personal reasons we can only go to Canada in March 2021. I would therefore want to voluntarily redo my medicals. My question is, how do I do that? Can i just make an appointment with the panel physician and go? Or do I have to ask the consulate in Pretoria to change my CIC profile to request new medicals? I know most of the times when your medicals are close to expiry, you will receive a request to redo it, but i do not want to wait for that, because I have read online that once you receive a PPR you cannot redo medicals. Doing a soft landing will be a bit too expensive as we are a family of 4, so I would rather just redo our medicals. I tried to ask this question to pretoria-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca but they avoid my question and give an unclear answer. I would really appreciate anyone's advise regards
