Hi Ryan, We haven’t landed we r landing in May. I need to give adequate notice at my place of work hence the delay.  Sadly no feedback yet. However I did some research myself and found that qualifications need to be vetted by the equivalent of SAQA. I don’t know if you know about this. Anyway this is a link to the website https://cacb.ca. Apparently no province would register you as an “intern architect” the equivalent of “candidate architect in SA” without this. that’s all I know for now. If you have any information please share especially since you are landing early am sure you would know a lot more once on ground.  Have a nice day. Regards, Oma

We are planning a LSD trip in the beginning of March with our base in Toronto. Does any one have recommendations on airbnb in Toronto?  Are there any shops/second hand shops with really good discounts on winter attire currently?  What documents would we need at the point of entry?  Kind regards  Delene

Hi Everyone We have recently received our ITA for PR. We have been in Canada for over a year now and accumulated the required points by adding 1 year working experience. We are now getting all the documents ready for our PR application. There is one thing that worries me and I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience. I was previously married and got divorced (11 years ago). I got remarried and have been for past 8 years. Unfortunately I lost the previous marriage and divorce certificate and it has been impossible trying to get it whilst living in Canada. I honestly don't know what else to do to get these documents. I would most likely submit an affidavit and my ex husband's divorce certificate etc. to state that I have tried to get these documents. What concerns me is that I know of someone who was recently declined for PR because they forgot to upload one of their children's birth certificate. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Hi Antoinette! Apologies for the late reply.  We are leaving next month life is chaos! Have you had any luck since then?  Left yet? I've definitely had a mixed bag, however if you are still struggling drop me a PM and we can chat further (don't want to post personal info here) Cheers!

Our AOR was 31 March 2019 and we only received PPR on 10 Jan 2020....we were asked by CIC if we would be able to enter Canada before 8th Feb 2020 as our medicals were due to expire on that day. Obviously we weren't going to be able to make the deadline so we had to redo medicals again. We submitted new medicals on the 7 Feb 2020 and received the new PPR on 12 February 2020. We didn't request updates or anything from CIC and just let the process run its course.
